What Garden Grids do I use for a 4x16 garden bed?
For a 4x16 area, 2-4x8 Garden Grids and our multi-Garden Grid connection manifold may be your best option. This will cover ~44"x~14'8". For the extra planting area outside of the perimeter of the Garden Grids, you can simply twist the tubes around so they spray outward and water that extra garden space. Alternatively, you could go with (2) 4x6 Grids and (1) 4x5 Garden Grid. This would cover ~44"x~15'7". To connect everything together so it all runs off of the same garden hose, you would use our Garden Grid Manifolds and short garden hoses to interconnect everything. For this option, the first 2-4x6 Garden Grids in each garden bed would be attached to a manifold you would then connect a short garden hose from the manifold to the 4x5 Garden Grid. We would suggest adding a Garden Grid Manifold or at least a single water flow valve to this Garden Grid as well for more water flow control. The hose length you would need is 4.5ft. Note: Always check the interior dimensions of your garden bed before ordering, just to make sure this is a good fit. Garden beds are most often solid in nominal dimensions, meaning the listed dimension is usually not exact, but a close representation of the actual dimensions. For instance, your 4x16 garden bed may have a planting area of 45"x15ft. This is because garden bed materials are sold in nominal dimensions (for example a 2x4 board isn't 2"x4", it's actually 1.5"x3.5"). Garden beds are also made of varying thicknesses making their interior planting areas smaller the thicker they are.
